Adult Counseling
Healing from Trauma, Embracing Growth
Life as an adult can feel like you're constantly juggling—work, relationships, personal challenges—everything can pile up. And when trauma is in the mix, it doesn’t just fade away. It leaves marks that influence how we see ourselves, how we navigate the world, and how we connect with others. Whether it’s childhood wounds, PTSD, complex trauma, sexual assault, or domestic violence, those experiences shape the way you move through life.
Trauma can also show up in ways we don’t expect—through dissociation, chronic illness, anxiety, or depression. It can manifest in grief, unresolved issues around sexuality, or religious trauma. Complex trauma, often linked to abusive relationships, can leave deep scars that make it harder to trust and feel safe. First responders, in particular, may carry the weight of traumatic experiences from the field, making it even harder to navigate life outside of work. Therapy is a space to unpack and process it all, at your own pace.
For those navigating late-life neurodivergent diagnoses, we understand how trauma and neurodivergence often overlap. Whether it's ADHD, autism, or other experiences, we’ll work together to help you make sense of both your neurodivergence and any trauma that may be affecting how you experience the world.
We specialize in trauma-informed care, meaning we understand how deeply past experiences can impact your present. Therapy gives you the tools to manage tough emotions, challenge old, limiting beliefs, and develop healthier ways to cope. You don’t have to keep trying to outrun the past. Therapy is an opportunity to work through everything in a safe, supportive way.
No matter where you're starting from, it’s never too late to begin healing. Together, we’ll focus on building resilience, self-compassion, and a sense of control so that you can move forward in your life with more clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
